The Money Game!!!!

George DeStefano- $499,000; He just won his job as city CFO back after a four year absence. 
Originally hired by his brother-in-law, former Mayor Russo, 
he was fired by Roberts. George sued for wrongful dismissal and the city settled in December 2005,
for back pay of $499,000. Merry Christmas George!

Michael Lenz- $183,000. Talk about killing the messenger. Mike was Mayor Robert's campaign 
manager who was hired to take DeStenfano's job. 
Michael didn't last long after delivering bad news about the city's budget to the Mayor. He settled 
a law suit for $183,000 just before it went to trial. 

Anthony Cardino- $31,800 or $253,000,  a member of the city's Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Board, 
a former commissioner of the Hoboken Housing Authority's, 
and former executive director of the now-defunct Hoboken Parking Authority, 
was arrested by the FBI  for allegedly embezzling approximately 
$253,000 from the investment accounts of his customers while at Wachovia Securities (according to the Hoboken Reporter).
In December 2005 he signed a letter to the North America Securities Dealers (NASD) in which he neither 
denied or accepted responsibility for converting $31,800 of a customers funds for his own use. He is

John Pope-$95,000. Hired by the Board of Education to be an assistant business administrator.

Tammy Zucca-$110,000. Hired by the Board of Education to be an assistant business administrator.

Patrick Gagliardi-$750,000- The Board of Ed just renewed his contract three years ago. Now the 
Board of Education voted to buy out the remainder of his contract for what could be $750,000. This despite 
the fact that there didn't seem to be a lot wrong with his performance.   

David Anthony-$48,000- Anthony, a one time restaurateur (Sinatra Cafe), a one time used car salesman, now
manages the North Bergen DMV office, resigned as a Board of Ed member to took a part time job as
Board of Ed Secretary. A job he says he'll do when he gets home from the DMV.
